2026 Competition Show - The Cave You Fear

Step into the shadows where darkness shrinks the room and every echo turns claustrophobic anxiety into a racing pulse. What begins as a terrifying descent into the cold unknown slowly yields to breathtaking wonder. As you push forward, glowing, colorful crystals light up the path, uncovering incredible beauty around every turn. Our musical selections include The Cave You Fear by Michael Markowski, Lux Aurumque by Eric Whitacre, and The Cave by Mumford & Sons. These works guide us through a story of fear, discovery, and transformation.

The 2026 Pride of Piqua Marching Band is under the direction of Drum Majors Katie Jo Beasly and Kira Parshall.

Under the direction of Wyatt Heinz, Alex Acuna, and Bryce Hopwood, with assistance from Graham Hardert and Cheyenna Hopwood, the Pride of Piqua Marching Band stands as a shining example of the Piqua Music Department’s commitment to excellence. Year after year, students across the district grow their musical talents and achieve at the highest levels, earning Superior ratings and recognition at competitions statewide. The program sets a standard for performance, dedication, and pride in our community. We are also proud that Piqua has once again been recognized as a 2026 Best Community for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation.  Thank you for your continued support!
